ABOUT
I’m Reed Davidson, and I am the founder and owner of b². I have always had a knack and a passion for drafting and design work. I started my training with manual drafting, and early versions of computer aided drafting many years ago. At the time, I strongly considered pursuing it as profession. I worked my way through college in construction, and I used my drafting skills and software tools as much and often as I could. But....
I also had other passions. So, I went to college at the University of Wyoming and earned a degree in Microbiology. From there, I started a career in Medical Research and Biotech. I worked as a Research Assistant for New York University and University of Wyoming for a few years. And after that, I moved into process development in biopharmaceuticals. I enjoyed the field for many years. But, I never lost the itch to be part of building and fabricating structures, on paper and in reality. So.....
In 2010, I left biotech and made my way back to the world of construction, planning, and architecture. From those job sites back in my college years, and through now I have gained expertise in all aspects of construction. Including design, foundation and structural, building envelope, HVAC/Mechanical, interior design, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and finish. I have been a laborer, carpenter, foreman, project manager, and designer. I have a Certificate in Project Management from Colorado State University. Which combined with architectural knowledge and software, I can very successfully augment planning, execution, estimating, engineering, work scopes, and construction documents. I have done so for over 600 projects.
I started this business in 2018 and I do this kind of work because I enjoy it immensely. I look forward to working with you on the projects you are passionate about. Whether you need to spruce up a napkin sketch, develop a set of shop drawings, create a full set of construction documents, or need guidance with design or energy efficiency aspects, I'm excited to get started.
