I’m Reed Davidson, and I am the founder and owner of b².  I have always known that I had a knack and a passion for drafting. I discovered computer aided and manual drafting my senior year in high school. The gratification I found learning the skills, and the praise I received should have indicated that I had found my calling.

    Alas, I also had other passions, I went to college at the University of Wyoming where I earned a degree in Microbiology and for a time, stepped away from drafting/design.  However, throughout college and for a few years after, I did work in construction as a laborer, carpenter, and ultimately a foreman. I eventually left construction altogether and started a career in Medical Research and Biotech.  At first, I worked as a Reasearch Assistant for New York University and University of Wyoming, and after that in Process Development at a BioPharmaceutical company.

 

     In 2010, I left biotech and made my way back to the world of construction, planning and architecture.  For 9 years, I worked as a Project Manager focusing on Energy Efficient construction and design for architects, builders, and homeowners.  I have created plans and offered consulting, certifications, code inspections, shop drawings, construction documents, and/or work scopes for over 600 projects.  ​

    I started my own business in 2018 and I do this kind of work because I enjoy it immensely.  I look forward to working with you on the projects you are passionate about.
